From October 17 to 25, 2026, the iconic Rotterdam Ahoy transforms into the global arena for the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. With roaring crowds, vibrant fan zones, and the world’s top gymnasts on the floor, this will be a championship like no other. As athletes chase Olympic dreams and national pride, Rotterdam sets the stage for connection – between generations, cultures, and disciplines.
Under the theme Building Bridges, the event becomes more than competition. It celebrates unity between people, generations, and cultures. The theme will run through everything: from elite sport in Ahoy to grassroots activities across the city, from side-events to campaigns using the slogan #BuildingBridges.

In gymnastics, a stick landing means finishing your landing completely still - no steps, no hops, no adjustments. You land, absorb the impact, and “stick” the position like a statue. 🤸♂️
It’s one of the clearest signs of control, balance, and precision. 🙌
A stick landing is especially important because any step or hop results in deductions. Recently, sticking a landing can even be rewarded with bonus points - but currently only in men’s gymnastics.
