World championships song
With That Bridge We Built Today, the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2026 have a soundtrack that perfectly matches the event. The song is performed by Evie van der Heijden, a student at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, and is all about connection, collaboration and the moment when everything comes together.
Building Bridges
From October 17 to 25, 2026, the iconic Rotterdam Ahoy transforms into the global arena for the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. With roaring crowds, vibrant fan zones, and the world’s top gymnasts on the floor, this will be a championship like no other. As athletes chase Olympic dreams and national pride, Rotterdam sets the stage for connection – between generations, cultures, and disciplines.
Under the theme Building Bridges, the event becomes more than competition. It celebrates unity between people, generations, and cultures. The theme will run through everything: from elite sport in Ahoy to grassroots activities across the city, from side-events to campaigns using the slogan #BuildingBridges.
